About Faron; |
Faron grew up on a ranch in the Sandhills of Saskatchewan, NE of Maple Creek, Sk. He grow up riding horses, and started his first colt when he was 10 years old. Faron developed his life long passion for training horses when he worked and rode with Pat Wyse of Conrad, Montana (1982-1983). He continued to ride and train horses while working at local community pastures as well as being very involved in horse 4-H.
While taking pre verterinary courses in Medicine Hat, Faron met and married Leana Hayward in 1989. Leana shared his passion for horses and was Medicine Hat Rodeo Princess in 1988. When they got married, Faron took a full time job training and starting colts for Wilimar Arabians were he rode and trained with Monty Mooney. Faron and Leana were blessed with two wonderful sons. While they were raising their family, they rode horses and trained working stock dogs while managing sheep grazes in the mountains of BC. During this time, Faron continued with his pre veterinary & agriculture studies at the University of Saskatoon.
Faron went on to ride, train, and show with professional trainer, Kevin Pole. During the years that Faron rode and worked with Kevin Pole, he also assisted Kevin at clinics. Helping others at clinics made Faron realized that he wanted to keep helping other riders improve and to reach their goals.
Faron continues to improve his program by riding and mentoring with other top clinicians. Currently riding with Road To The Horse champion Jim Anderson, riding and showing with top 10 NRHA rider, Mike Boyle in California, as well as taking clinics from the youngest million dollar NRHA rider and NRHA open futurity champion, Jordan Larson.
Faron continues to provide lessons and clinics to all level of riders. He excels in helping riders improve their skills, gain confidence, and meet their goals for themselves and their horses.
